Lumina event at Waldorf Astoria, DIFC, discussing 2025 Cross-Border M&A survey

Now in its 4th iteration, Lumina presented the findings from its 2025 Cross-Border M&A survey today at the Waldorf Astoria, DIFC. In a highly engaging and interactive event, James Jarvis presented the key themes with a follow up interactive Q&A session covering key theme reports. Key conclusions from the session were:

  1. Active deal making has remained strong – 2025 saw a record first half of the year and the feeling on the ground is that this was the same for H2

  2. The Middle East M&A market is poised for further growth – the outlook is positive amongst deal-makers despite macro uncertainties

  3. 2026 will be a breakthrough year for debt funding in regional M&A as new international participants enter the market and private credit opportunities emerge
